E-Learning: Introduction to Showstop Procedure Course
This e-learning, self-paced course allows you to complete the training in your own time, at your own pace, from anywhere. You will work through four interactive modules that introduce a robust, proven framework for planning and implementing the Showstop Procedure.
The training is designed to enhance emergency preparedness, improve life safety for people attending and working at events, and establish a shared understanding of roles, thresholds, and intervention processes across key personnel and departments.
Upon successful completion of the e-learning, you will receive an official e-learning completion certificate.
Successful completion of the Introduction to Showstop Procedure online course qualifies learners to progress to the Professional Certificate in Showstop Procedure, via the APL (Accredited Prior Learning Pathway).

APL Pathway to Professional Certificate in Showstop Procedure
The APL Pathway is delivered in a reduced four-hour in-person format, recognising Accredited Prior Learning and knowledge, gained through the e-learning course and prior professional experience. The course consolidates learning through a focused review of core principles and workshop-based scenario discussions and concludes with the formal examination.
This structured pathway ensures that experienced professionals can progress efficiently whilst maintaining the rigour, consistency and accountability on an internationally recognised qualification.
To be eligible to progress onto this course, learners must have completed and passed, the e-learning Introduction to Showstop Procedure course and provide evidence of a minimum of three years’ experience in a supervisory or management role, subject to eligibility review for roles that include:

This structured pathway enables experienced professionals to progress efficiently while maintaining the rigour, consistency, and accountability of an internationally recognised qualification.
The formal examination is completed during the course, using an online exam system consisting of 3 essay questions and 16 multiple-choice questions.
You are allowed 75 minutes to complete the exam, with a pass mark of 85%.
The exam is assessed on a pass/fail basis
The Professional Certificate in Showstop Procedure
The Professional Certificate in Showstop Procedure is a one-day, in-person training course that is interactive, immersive, and intensive. The course combines expert-led presentations, real-world case studies, and hands-on workshops. Refreshments, lunch, and the formal examination are included.
Participants who successfully pass the examination are awarded the Professional Certificate in Showstop Procedure and are added to the verification register, evidencing competence for Showstop-related roles.
For those who cannot demonstrate the minimum three years’ supervisory or management experience, seeking to gain a further understanding of the Showstop Procedure, or others who do not pass the examination, the Certificate of Attendance course option is available.
This course follows the identical course content, as the Professional Certificate, but does not include the examination.
Participants receive a Certificate of Attendance, which does not qualify for inclusion on the verification register.
Both course options are internationally accredited and qualify for 8hrs CPD.
